Out in open landscapes there is nowhere for heavy makeup to hide. Daylight shows texture, so I focus on the skin first: hydration, a thin, even base only where it is needed, and concealer used precisely rather than everywhere. Cheeks get a cream blush that melts into the skin, and I keep brows brushed and natural. The result should look like you on your best day, which is exactly what the camera picks up best outdoors.
How do I keep makeup fresh when we are outside for a while?
Open coast and meadows mean wind, sun or a sudden shower, sometimes all in one afternoon. I set the areas that tend to shine, use long-wear formulas on the eyes and choose a lip colour you can fix yourself in seconds. What should we think about before heading out?
Shoes first. Grass and paths can be soft, so a pair of flat shoes for walking makes the portraits far more relaxed. Think about light too: a cloudy day is actually flattering, while bright midday sun creates harsh shadows. If your photographer suggests a later time for portraits, I can plan the makeup to last into the evening. Hair works best in secure, soft styles, such as a loose low bun or a half-up braid, so it can handle the breeze.
How do I book for Hvidovre?
The bride’s Makeup & Hair is €300, or €180 for makeup or hair alone. Guests are €200 for Makeup & Hair, or €120 for one of the two.
