The bride gets a lot of attention, and rightly so. But the people around her appear in nearly every photograph, from the getting-ready morning to the family portraits. Beautiful hair and makeup for bridesmaids, mothers and guests make the whole day feel more polished and more joyful.
What are the prices for bridesmaids, mothers and guests?
Guests can book makeup and hair together, or makeup or hairstyling on its own. The bride’s Bridal Makeup & Hair is €300.
These prices apply to wedding guests of all kinds, including bridesmaids, the mother of the bride, the mother of the groom, sisters, friends and flower girls’ mothers. You can choose both services, or only the one you need. For the full price list, see the packages section or the packages page, and for a broader view of costs, read bridal makeup prices in Copenhagen.
- Makeup & Hair: €200
- Makeup or hairstyling: €120 each
Trial sessions, early-morning starts and travel outside Copenhagen are available on request.
How should bridesmaids’ makeup relate to the bride’s?
Bridesmaids’ looks should complement the bride, not compete with her. A polished, natural finish with matching tones usually looks best together in photographs.
The easiest approach is to agree on a theme: for example, soft rosy lips and a luminous base for everyone, with the bride getting the most defined eye or lip. Bridesmaids do not need to look identical; the best groups look like the best versions of themselves. I look at the dress colour, the flowers and the venue, and then adapt the look to each person’s skin tone and features. If your group includes a range of complexions, my post on bridal makeup for every skin tone explains how I approach shade matching.

Which hairstyles suit bridesmaids?
Pick a style that matches the bride’s and suits the dress neckline. Soft romantic curls, a sleek bun, a relaxed bohemian twist or a half-up style all work well.
If the bride is wearing a timeless updo, bridesmaids might choose a lower, softer version of it, or loose curls pinned back on one side. A shared detail, such as a braid, a small flower or the same type of pin, ties the group together without making everyone identical. Check your dress: a halter or high neck suits an updo, while an off-the-shoulder dress is flattered by hair swept to one side. See bridal hair trends for current ideas, and for preparation, wedding hair prep applies to guests too.
What should I know about mother of the bride makeup?
A mother-of-the-bride look should be elegant, comfortable and true to herself. The goal is to feel radiant and recognisable, with soft definition that photographs well.
I work with the skin as it is: moisture-rich prep, a light and breathable base that does not settle into fine lines, and cream colour on the cheeks, which tends to look fresher than powder. Eyes can be framed with soft shades and defined lashes, and a lip colour that you can wear all day. I do not believe in hiding age; I believe in highlighting natural beauty. The mother of the groom is just as welcome to book. For hair, a comfortable, secure style is wise, especially if there will be hugs, dancing and tears.
- Bring a favourite photograph where you felt wonderful.
- Tell me about glasses, sensitive skin or any allergies in advance.
- Wear a top that buttons or zips, so it does not disturb your hair.
How should guests prepare?
Arrive with clean, moisturised skin and clean, dry hair, and have your outfit and jewellery to hand. A little preparation makes the session smoother and the result better.
- Wash your face and moisturise lightly.
- Wash and dry your hair beforehand, unless I have asked for something different.
- Have your dress or a photo of it ready, plus any hair accessories.
- Eat breakfast, and bring water.
- Let me know about any skin sensitivities.
How does a group booking work on the wedding morning?
With one artist, we take people one at a time and plan the order in advance. A group schedule is built around the ceremony time, the number of guests and who needs which service.
As a typical estimate, a guest takes about 40 to 45 minutes for makeup and 30 to 40 minutes for hair. The bride is usually last, or first if she prefers a calm start. My full example is in the wedding morning timeline. Preparation starts a few hours before the ceremony, with time for breaks, and a larger group means an earlier start. It also helps to book the same artist for everyone, so the look is cohesive and there is one calm person managing the clock.

Can I try a look before the day?
A trial session is available on request, and it is most useful for mothers and bridesmaids who want a specific style. It lets us test the look in real light and on camera, as I do for brides.
If you only need a quick adjustment, tell me when you book, and I can suggest the best way to do it. I also offer an optional all-day touch-up service on request, which is generally for the bride, but we can talk about it if you would like help for your group. For anything on the day, a small kit works well; the bridal touch-up kit list is useful for guests too.
Book your wedding party
I come to your home, hotel or venue across Copenhagen, Greater Copenhagen and Zealand, and travel within Europe on request. I work in English and Danish, so everyone in the family can feel comfortable. To book your bridesmaids, mothers and guests, contact me with your date, your number of guests and the services each would like, and I will propose a plan. Beauty that lasts as beautifully as the memories.
